Vivo X90 Series Launched in China with Snapdragon 8 Gen
Vivo finally launched its flagship X90 series in China. The Vivo X90 Pro, X90 Pro and X90 Pr+ will be the first to get the MediaTek Dimensity9200 SoC. They also come with ZEISS-backed cameras and 120W fast charging. Below are all the details.
Vivo X90 Pro+ – Specs and Features
The Vivo X90 Pro+ is similar to the X80 series, but has a protruding circular camera hump at its back. The halo design is made of stainless steel and was inspired by the rising sun. Like its predecessors, the cameras are branded ZEISS and support features such as Zeiss Flare Portrait and Zeiss T*coating. The V2 chip is also available for adaptive HDR, night photography, AI improvements, and many other enhancements.
The phone features a Sony IMX989 50MP maincam for a 77% increase in photosensitivity, a 114 degree 48MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP portrait lens. It also has a 50mm focal length and a 64MP periscope. The 32MP front snapper is also available. The X90 Pro+ supports 8K videos at 30fps. It also features Zeiss Natural Color, Vivo Vivid Color, ZEISS Cinematic Style Bokeh, up 100x zoom, handheld Star Photography, and many other camera features.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is under the hood with the Adreno740 GPU. The Vivo X90 Pro+ is now the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 smartphone. The phone comes with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The front features a 6.78 inch Samsung E6 AMOLED 2K LTPO 4.0 screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1440Hz PWM dimming. It also has 1800 nits peak brightness and Dolby Vision.
It comes with a 4,700mAh lithium-ion battery that can charge up to 80W of wired or 50W wireless fast charging. The device runs OriginOS 3.0, which is based on Android 13. Additional features include 5G, an indisplay ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, facial recognition and Twin Icefield Cooling. It also has Bluetooth version 5.3. NFC, Wi Fi 6, IP68 rating, Bluetooth version 6. The device is available in China Red or Original Black colors.
Vivo X90 Pro: Specs & Features
Vivo X90 Pro is the same design as the X90 Pro+. It comes in China Red or Original Black. The world’s first smartphone to have an AMOLED 6.78 inch display, it has a 120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz dimming and Q9 super retina protection.
The MediaTek Dimensity9200 chipset powers it. This supports hardware-based ray traceing and other features. It includes the Immortalis G715 GPU, up to 12GB RAM and upto 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. Cameras include a Zeiss 50MP T* main camera, 50MP portrait lens, a Zeiss 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a Zeiss 50MP T* main camera. There is also a 32MP selfie camera.
The 4,870mAh battery powers the phone, and supports 120W fast charging. The phone runs OriginOS 3.0, which is based on Android 13. It has an in-display fingerprint reader, dual stereo speakers and 5G support.
Vivo X90: Specs & Features
The X90 Pro is a slightly less powerful version of the X90 Pro. It has the same display and chipset of the Vivo X90 Pro models, but there are some differences. The Vivo X90 comes with a 50MP VCS Bionic Spectrum primary camera, a 12MP portrait and a 12MP ultra wide lens. A 32MP front snapper is available.
The battery is also smaller at 4,810mAh and supports 120W fast charging. It also has an IP54 rating. Additional details include 5G support and an in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, as well as other features. It runs OriginOS 3.0, which is based on Android 13. It is available in China Red and Ice Blue colors.
